Born 1838 to Harrison Thurmond Martin (b. Roswell, GA, per 1850 census) and Rixie Dannger (d. 1900, West Point, GA), married March 16, 1836.

Buried Martin Plot, West Point, GA Cemetery.

Married Elizabeth Josephine Burney of Roswell, December 15, 1858, at Car Shed, Atlanta, GA.

Member of William A. Fuller’s Company of Independent State Railroad Guards.

Served as wood-passer on Texas during Great Locomotive Chase.

Listed with others for the Fuller Medal fo 1950.
